TOANO — Kevin James Rhind, 57, was called home to be with the Lord Monday, Nov. 30, 2020, after losing his battle with ALS. Kevin was born April 18, 1963, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He grew up in Stockbridge. After graduating from Monument Mountain Regional High School, he moved to Virginia.
Kevin was the founder of RhindDesign, Project Management, but his passion was Professional Wildlife Services.
He was preceded in death by his father, John H. Rhind; mother, Virginia T. Rhind; brother, David Rhind; and his forever fur buddy, Yogi Da Bear of greater Toano.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Kathy. He also leaves behind his son, Kahner (Ashley); daughter, Kortney (James); son, Kyle (Chelsey); daughter, Katelin (Nathan); grandchildren, Junior, Blakely and two unborn baby girls; sister, Debra Miller (Curtis); brother, Jay Rhind (Chantal); sister, Laurie Rhind; in-laws, Nana, Wendy (Chad), Todd (Shelly) and Matt (Katherine); and multiple nieces, nephews and one great-nephew.
Kevin was a man that, no matter who you were, he would always find the good in people. He never knew a stranger, would give you the shirt off his back and was someone who would leave an everlasting touch to your heart. Kevin lived for the unconditional love he gave his wife, children and their friends, who turned into his adopted children. A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed his time hunting and fishing.
Due to Kevin’s wishes the family will not be holding a service. Kevin did not want anyone to shed a tear. Instead, he wanted everyone to celebrate the time he was here.
Donations to be made to Hunters for the Hungry, P.O. Box 304, Big Island, VA 24526. Please be sure to note, “in memorial of Kevin Rhind.”
Share online condolences with the family at Vincent Funeral Home.
