WILLIAMSBURG — BurgerFi is expected to have its grand opening on July 6, 2021; a different date than what was originally announced.
Originally, the South Florida restaurant chain announced that it would hold the grand opening of its 6610 Mooretown Rd., Ste. F-G location on on June 24, 2021. However, those plans did not come to be.

Julio Ramirez, CEO of BurgerFi International, provided a statement regarding the celebrations delay, by saying, “Due to COVID-19, many industries including ours are experiencing supply chain delays. Our opening was delayed by 1 week to ensure we were able to open and deliver the best burger experience featuring our fresh and delicious chef-crafted food in our eco-friendly restaurants to Williamsburg.”
The grand opening celebrations began Tuesday, June 29 and will last through July 8, 2021. Throughout the celebration, which coincides with the tenth anniversary of BurgerFi’s founding, there will be an opening $10 TriFi special, which includes a cheeseburger, fries, and a Coca-Cola Freestyle beverage, as well as a collection box that will benefit the Virginia Peninsula Foodbank.

On Tuesday, July 6, a ribbon cutting ceremony will take place with York County officials at 10:30 a.m. After guests take a photo op at the balloon entrance archway, BurgerFi will have free frozen custard samples, free fries with purchase when guests download the BurgerFi app. To download the app, click the following link: https://www.burgerfi.com/rewards. These are scheduled to last until 2 p.m. on the day of the ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Williamsburg restaurant will only be the second BurgerFi location in Virginia. The company serves 100% all-natural Angus beef burgers that have not been exposed to steroids, growth hormones, chemicals, additives, nor antibiotics. The company also serves an award-winning vegetarian VegeFi Burger and has been recognized as the first national restaurant chain to introduce plant-based Beyond Meat burgers on its menu. Other offerings include hot dogs, antibiotic and cage-free chicken offerings, fresh-cut fries, frozen custard desserts, as well as beer and wine.
