HAMPTON — On Wednesday, March 24 at approximately 9:24 a.m., Senior Master Sgt. Brandon Scott Chandler of Williamsburg was critically injured when his vehicle was struck on I-64E near the overpass for Hampton Roads Center Parkway. The impact pushed his vehicle off the highway and into a wooded area, causing it to strike a tree. Senior Master Sgt. Chandler was taken to Riverside Regional Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.

Today, the following statement was released by the 633d Air Base Wing Public Affairs, Joint Base Langley-Eustis to WYDaily:
“We can confirm Brandon Chandler was a U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sergeant
stationed at Langley Air Force Base. Please extend our deepest condolences to his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with them during this difficult time.”
The driver of the other vehicle has been charged with multiple counts and there may be more charges pending. As of Friday, March 26, there is no further information regarding this case.
