WILLIAMSBURG — Doggo Den announced a significant achievement in its ongoing commitment to supporting local animal shelters — through monthly nail trim events, the business recently donated over 4,000 pounds of pet food to animals in need.
Each month, Doggo Den volunteers its time to provide $15 nail trims at The Nautical Dog. The funds raised during these events are used to purchase food for local shelters, making a profound difference in the lives of many animals.
“It’s been almost four years since Doggo Den opened and one of the best relationships we have is with Nautical Dog. We love their values on pet food, vet/medicine information, reputable products, and how much they care about the pet community,” Doggo Den owner Erinn Loren said. “So, being able to continue offering monthly nail trims to donate dog food to local shelters has been very important to us. While we do it to help feed shelter animals, we love meeting new pet owners and explaining the benefits of our unique pet grooming studio and the quality we offer. ”
In 2024, Doggo Den donated over 10,000 pounds of pet food, valued at over $20,000, to various organizations, including Heritage Humane Society, New Kent Animal Shelter, Charles City Animal Shelter, Ring Dog Rescue and Peninsula Pet Food Pantry.
“We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community, which has enabled us to host these events and give back in such a meaningful way,” said Amanda Wilbourne, owner of The Nautical Dog. “A huge shout-out goes to Erinn and her dedicated team at Doggo Den for their selfless commitment month after month.”
The next nail trim event is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25 from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at The Nautical Dog in New Town Williamsburg.
