Community Business: Doggo Den

JAMES CITY COUNTY — Pet grooming studio Doggo Den recently celebrated its expansion.

Doubling the square footage of the previous space, the studio is located in the same building at 4039 Ironbound Road in Williamsburg.

The expansion has allowed for a separate washing station, upgraded products for dog skin and coat health, and the addition of two new groomers.

While the new studio is bright and inviting, owner Erinn Loren said their goal remains to “provide a calm space for dogs to be comfortable because some dogs don’t always have a positive attitude about grooming.”

Education and training are also important to Loren, “all of our groomers are experienced and knowledgeable in safe handling practices. The whole team will be heading to Intergroom (an international grooming conference) this year to participate in certificate courses and continued education.”

Giving back to the community and assisting local rescue groups is another priority for the locally-owned establishment.
Doggo Den groomers provide nail trims at the Nautical Dog, with proceeds from the service donated back to Heritage Humane Society. Their biggest donation to date was more than 7,000 pounds of food worth over $17,000.

They also work with local rescue group Homes Fur Hounds.

Open Monday through Sunday, Doggo Den is now accepting new pup clients of all shapes and sizes.
