Community Turns Out to Support Shop Local Boost Campaign

HISTORIC TRIANGLE — The local community has turned out in support of the collaborative Shop Local Boost campaign.

The five week long campaign is the joint effort of Chesapeake Bank, Local Daily Media (Williamsburg)*, Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce, James City County Economic Development Authority, York County Virginia Economic Development, City of Williamsburg Economic Development in order to help support locally-owned businesses.

Beginning Weds., Nov. 3, the partners of this campaign have set up at various “pop up” locations around the Historic Triangle in which a residents can purchase $50 VISA gift cards for only $25 (limit two per household).

On Weds., Nov. 17, the next “pop up” will take place in front of the Freight Shed in Yorktown, 331 Water St. at Riverwalk Landing, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The campaign is scheduled to wrap up on Dec. 10 at the Virginia Beer Company. A full schedule and locations are as listed below:
