Lisa Marie Silas, 57, of Virginia Beach, passed away peacefully at her home following a brief but courageous battle with cancer.
Born on December 31, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Lisa was the beloved daughter of the late Samuel David Slack and Mary Louise Godown.
Lisa dedicated her life to caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Rosemont Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was known for her unwavering work ethic, compassionate heart, and deep commitment to her patients. A self-proclaimed workaholic, Lisa found purpose and fulfillment in helping those in her care, and she touched countless lives through her kindness, dedication, and gentle spirit.
In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by loved ones who welcomed her home with open arms.
She is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Tim Slack and his wife, Pamela, and Frankie Mastin, along with extended family members and friends who will cherish the memories they shared with her.
Lisa’s strength, resilience, and caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In accordance with her family’s wishes, a private service will be held at a later date.
Though her time with us was far too short, Lisa’s legacy of compassion, hard work, and selfless service will live on in the hearts of those whose lives she touched.
