Amelia Geiger Lesnowski, 71, member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church

Amelia Geiger Lesnowski, 71, of Williamsburg, passed away peacefully at home after a long illness on Sunday, March 13, 2016, in the presence of her loving husband, daughters and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all.

A graduate of South River High School, Amelia went on to attend Trenton State College. She enjoyed membership with Kingsmill, where she played golf and tennis.  She played on a bridge club and was a member of Williamsburg Presbyterian Church.

Amelia was preceded in death by her parents, Philip and Ida Geiger. She is survived by her husband, Joseph J. Lesnowski; daughters, Donna Cowan (husband, Martin) and Suzanne Lesnowski (husband, Scott); grandchildren, Zachery Cowan, Emily Cowan, Alexandra Robinson and Samantha Robinson; and brother, Philip Geiger (wife, Roseann).

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, March 18, at Williamsburg Presbyterian Church, 215 Richmond Road, Williamsburg. Interment will follow in Williamsburg Memorial Park.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Heritage Humane Society, 430 Waller Mill Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185; or Hospice House of Williamsburg, 4445 Powhatan Parkway, Williamsburg, VA 23188.
