Clarence Edward “Eddie” Whitehurst, 66, of Providence Forge, passed away February 1, 2016.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert C. Whitehurst Sr. and Jewel L. Whitehurst.
Clarence is survived by his son, Clarence “EJ” Whitehurst Jr., and his wife, Denise; three brothers, Sammy Whitehurst, John Whitehurst and Hubert “Pudgy” Whitehurst Jr.; a sister, Judy Sheldon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eddie served in the U.S. Army 1968 to 1968 as a private first class. Eddie will always be remembered for his favorite phrase “Yodie Yo.”
A memorial service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 6, at Vincent Funeral Home, 9923 Pocahontas Trail, Providence Forge. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made at any C&F Bank location, in memory of Clarence “Eddie” Whitehurst, c/o Margaret Whitehurst.
