Do you know anything about this crash that killed a man in Williamsburg? Police need your help

A 42-year-old man died following a single-motorcycle crash Friday night.

The crash happened between 10:15 p.m. and 10:36 p.m. on Monticello Avenue near the intersection of Ironbound Road, Master Police Officer Charles Ericsson wrote in a news release.

“A witness who called 911 was able to provide a timeframe for the accident as they had driven through the area a short time prior to discovering the accident,” Ericsson said.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene, Ericsson said.

Police did not release the man’s identity pending notification of his family.

Further details about the crash were not immediately released.

Authorities are asking anyone who may have seen the crash or have any information that would help in the investigation to call Williamsburg Police at 757-220-2331
