The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has charged a 17-year-old boy with murder in the Dec. 13 shooting death of another teen in York County.
Sheriff’s deputies were called to the 100 block of Drew Road in the Williamsburg area of York County at around 10:41 p.m. regarding the incident. There, they found 15-year-old Jordan Miller suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to a local hospital where he later died, authorities said.
Investigators with the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office arrested the suspect, who lives in Newport News, early this morning.
The teen is charged with second-degree murder and use of a firearm in a felony, the sheriff’s office said. He was taken to the Merrimac Center. Authorities are not releasing his name because he is a juvenile.
While investigators are not looking for additional suspects, the investigation is continuing.
