NORFOLK — Norfolk police are investigating a shooting that caused three city public schools to lock down Wednesday morning.
Norview elementary, middle and high schools, as well as the area’s community center, went into lock down mode around 11 a.m. after gunshots were heard in the 7000 block of Sewells Point Road, according to the Norfolk Police Department.
Although police found no one injured at the scene, several cars and a building were hit by bullets.
The lock down was lifted around 11:50 a.m. after police searched the area. Authorities are currently processing evidence.
