Update 12:45 p.m.: All buildings and roads at William & Mary are back open following a broken gas line near Adair Hall.
Update 12:05 p.m.: A gas leak near Adair Hall was caused by construction, William & Mary officials said.
Construction in the area of the hall broke a gas line, causing a leak, college spokeswoman Suzanne Seurattan said.
Both Adair Hall and the parking garage were still closed as of 12:05 p.m.
Ukrop Way from Jamestown Road to the Dupont Bridge were also closed.
No injuries have been reported.

The College of William & Mary is warning students and traffic to stay away from the area of Adair Hall after a gas leak was reported Wednesday.
Those inside Adair Hall were warned to leave the building immediately, according to a William & Mary emergency alert.
“If you are in the building, leave at once,” the alert read.
The parking garage near Adair Hall is also closed, and the area is blocked off to traffic, the alert said.
College spokeswoman Suzanne Seurattan did not have additional details at 11:35 a.m., but said more information will be released as it becomes available.
