Police: 15-year-old charged in Virginia Beach murder

VIRGINIA BEACH — Police have arrested a 15-year-old boy and charged him with murder in connection to a shooting last month.

On June 23, emergency units responded to reports of a gunshot victim in the 1000 block of Minneapolis Drive. Police say 18-year-old Isaiah Martin was found dead at the scene.

Police believe that the 15-year-old juvenile was responsible for Martin’s death.

According to the Virginia Beach Police Department, officers arrested him after a series of Crime Solvers tips helped investigators identify him.

Police have not released the name of the juvenile, but he has been charged with murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony.

The teen is being held in the Virginia Beach Juvenile Detention Center without bond.

This is the second arrest made in connection with Martin’s murder. According to police, 20-year-old Isaac Wilson was arrested on July 11 and charged with conspiracy to commit a felony.
