Williamsburg, VA 23185
A Williamsburg woman is facing a felony maiming charge after she allegedly stabbed a relative in the leg during a family argument early Sunday.
Maj. Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department said officers responded to the 100 block of Merrimac Trail after a reported stabbing at about 1:20 a.m. Sunday. Upon arrival, they found the man suffering from the stab wound and 47-year-old Charlene Wanda McClellan, who is believed to have stabbed him with a knife. McClellan suffered a self-inflicted wound sometime during the fight.
Both the man and McClellan were taken to Riverside Doctor’s Hospital for treatment. She was then taken to Virginia Peninsula Regional Jail, where she is being held without bond.
The man will be OK, Riley said.
