Williamsburg Police: Man Robbed at Gunpoint in Highland Park Community


williamsburg police patchA man was robbed at gunpoint at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday on North Henry Street in the Highland Park Community in Williamsburg.

The man told police he was in his vehicle on the 700 block of North Henry Street when three unidentified men approached. They got inside the car and then robbed him at gunpoint, taking an undisclosed amount of money, said Maj. Greg Riley of the Williamsburg Police Department.

After the robbery, the men got into a black Chevy and left the area. The man then called police and reported the incident. He was able to identify one of the men he said robbed him. Warrants have been obtained for that man’s arrest, but he has not yet been taken into custody. His identity is not being released while investigators work to identify the other two men, Riley said.

The three robbers were described to police as tall black males age 20 to 25. Anyone with information on the incident should call Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
