To begin the New Year, the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce focused on creating engaging events for the business community and new opportunities for professional connection.
The 2023 Pre-Session Legislative Forum took place at the Williamsburg Regional Library, featuring Senator Tommy Norment, Senator Monty Mason, Delegate Mike Mullin, Delegate Amanda Batten, and Delegate A.C. Cordoza. The forum discussed the outlook of the 2023 Virginia General Assembly Session and policy matters relating to the Chamber’s Legislative Priorities.
The ASPIRE Young Professionals hosted the annual Showcase at Copper Fox Distillery. Designed to help local young professionals expand their professional networks and learn more about ASPIRE, the event displayed the full portfolio of young professional programming offered by the Greater Williamsburg Chamber with early registration for upcoming events.
The Women’s Business Council hosted the annual Power of Women Keynote, featuring Rear Admiral Ann Phillips, U.S. Navy (Ret.) and Administrator of the Maritime Administration. Attendees enjoyed a thoughtful discussion on the impact of women’s leadership, a delicious plated lunch, and a flag ceremony with the Girl Scouts of Colonial Coast.
Coming up, the Chamber is thrilled to present the Annual Gala on Saturday, March 25th at the William & Mary Alumni House. Join us at 6:30 PM for An Evening in Old Hollywood, fit with a walk down the red carpet, a welcome reception with cocktails and live music, dinner, and dancing. The Gala will also showcase a silent auction to benefit the Greater Williamsburg Chamber of Commerce Foundation, which supports Pathways2Careers and educational programming.
