NORFOLK — Budget airline Breeze Airways has announced a new nonstop route from Norfolk International Airport (ORF).
Starting on June 30, Breeze Airways will start offering nonstop flights between ORF and Westchester County Airport (HPN) in White Plains, N.Y. These flights will take place on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays each week. Ticket prices start at just $49 (one way).
Breeze Airways was launched in 2021 by Founder and CEO David Neeleman, of whom the airline describes as “a serial airline entrepreneur.” He also launched other airline startups, including JetBlue, Azul, Westjet, and Morris Air (which later sold to Southwest Airlines). The company describes its service as merging kindness and technology at affordable fares. Additionally, it focuses on what it deems are underserved flight routes along the American East Coast through the Midwest.
The airline prides itself for its affordable fares while providing customers with various seat options (including first class), no change or cancellation fees, and up to 24 months of reusable flight credit.
Locally, Breeze Airways offers service at both ORF and Richmond International Airport (RIC). The airports have flights to the following destinations:
