Two words: ‘Yum, yum.’ Here’s why

VIRGINIA BEACH — Restaurants from the Southside and the Peninsula are crafting special menus for the first CoVa Restaurant Week.

Locals and visitors can taste, sip and savor special prix-fix menus showcasing Coastal Virginia’s diverse dining scene, Oct. 1-7, according to a news release from the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association.

“The Coastal Virginia region has so many great restaurants, hidden gems and neighborhood favorites,” said Aimee Taylor, the association’s director. “This event puts a spotlight on how wonderful these places are and the amazing dishes they put out every day.”

Diners will not be lacking for options during CoVa Restaurant Week. In addition to selecting from a wide range of restaurants and cuisines, patrons can choose from seven different specially priced menus, according to the news release.

There are two breakfast menus offered at $5 and $10, two-course lunches at $10 and $15 and three-course dinners at $20, $25 and $35.

Each establishment determines which menus they will feature during the event.

All menus exclude beverages, tax and gratuity.

The number of participating restaurants continues to grow as the event nears and includes establishments like Terrapin, Saffron, Civil Libation, EAT, Monsoon, Black Pelican Seafood Restaurant, Freemason Abbey, Java Surf and more.

CoVa Restaurant Week is not a ticketed event. However, reservations are strongly recommended where accepted, according to the news release.

CoVa Restaurant Week is presented by the Virginia Beach Restaurant Association and sponsored by Coastal Virginia Magazine.
