A downed cable in the Princess Anne and Witchduck area of Virginia Beach has left roughly 6,100 residents without power during a storm that has already brought an average of six inches of snow to the Southside.

Dominion Power representative Daisy Pridgen said a the power line fell Saturday afternoon due to the winter storm. But Pridgen said crews were on site working to restore the power, which she said could be back around 4:30 p.m.
