York County fire crews responded to a commercial structure fire at an auto body repair and paint facility in the Tabb area early Monday morning, according to a York County Department of Fire & Life Safety news release.

Firefighters responded to a fire just before 12:30 a.m. at Tim’s Custom Painting, located in the 200 block of Production Drive, the release said.

The fire appears to have originated in a bathroom, an update to the original release said.

Smoke and fire was coming from the structure when first responders arrived, and personnel found fire on the inside of the building as well, the release said.

There were no occupants in the building at the time of the fire, and there were no injuries.

Langley Air Force Base and Newport News Fire Departments assisted with extinguishing the fire.

After the fire was put out, units remained on scene conducting salvage and overhaul.
