York sheriff’s office seeks purse snatcher

YPSO-York-Police-Sheriff-Badge-Logo-570x760The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who snatched a woman’s purse Saturday night.

Deputies responded to the Walgreens at Goodwin Neck Road and George Washington Memorial Highway around 11 p.m. after a woman said an unknown man had taken her purse, according to a sheriff’s office Facebook post.

The man is described as around six feet tall and thin. He also wore dark clothes with a hood, the post said.

The suspect fled on foot behind O’Reilly Auto Parts.
