WILLIAMSBURG – William & Mary has six players to watch on NFL Sundays this fall, including a two-time All-Pro, a recent third-round pick and a player entering his 11th NFL season with the same team.
The group includes Charles Grant of the Las Vegas Raiders, Nate Lynn of the New York Jets, Bill Murray of the Los Angeles Rams, Luke Rhodes of the Indianapolis Colts, Colby Sorsdal of the Detroit Lions and Owen Wright of the Houston Texans.
Rhodes is entering his 11th NFL season, all with the Colts. He entered the league as a linebacker before moving to long snapper during his second season. He is a two-time All-Pro and earned first-team honors in 2021.
Murray also changed positions after entering the NFL, moving from defensive line to offensive line. He spent four seasons with the New England Patriots from 2020-23, followed by stints with the Chicago Bears in 2024 and Indianapolis Colts in 2025. He signed with the Rams this offseason.
Sorsdal was selected by the Lions in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft. He appeared in 16 games as a rookie and started against the Raiders. He enters his fourth season with Detroit.
Grant was selected by the Raiders in the third round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He appeared in nine games as a rookie and started against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Lynn recently signed with the Jets. He previously played for the Lions in 2024 and the Tennessee Titans in 2025.
Wright, a running back, signed with the Texans during the offseason. He previously spent time with the Baltimore Ravens from 2023-24 and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2025.
Former William & Mary student-athletes and assistant coaches also are working on NFL coaching staffs, including Buffalo Bills head coach Joe Brady.
William & Mary opens its season Aug. 28 at Villanova. The game is the Tribe’s first as a member of the Patriot League.
The Tribe has had five consecutive winning seasons, its longest such streak since the 1990s.
