HISTORIC TRIANGLE — Two local chapters of the National Society of the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) have inducted new officers for 2022.
Both the Williamsburg and Thomas Nelson, Jr. chapters of SAR met at Ford’s Colony Club House on January 8, 2022 for the induction of 2022 officers.
Presided over by Jeff Thomas, president of the Virginia Society of SAR, the Williamsburg Chapter welcomed ten officers while the Thomas Nelson, Jr. chapter Board included five members.
Those for the Williamsburg chapter are listed as the chapter’s president, Bruce Laubach, Dave Westenberger, Hunt Berryman, Jim Morford, Steve Perger, Jr., Eric Ely, John Lynch II, Gary Dunaway, Bob Davis, and Steve Holm.
Those for the Thomas Nelson, Jr. chapter are listed as the chapter’s president, John Priest, Gary O. Hodges, James Swords, W. Mason Ware, and William Old.
The SAR is a nationwide organization that is nonprofit, non-partisan, dedicated to promoting patriotism as well as preserving and teaching American history.
