With faith that eternal peace awaited her in the presence of the Lord, Mable Sue Dacheux, 74, passed away on August 4, 2026 in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Mable was born on July 13, 1952, to Leonard Talbott and Alma “Peggy” Gooch Talbott. She was preceded in death by her parents and her siblings, Betty Williams, Gloria “Jeannie” Williams, and Charles “Charlie” Talbott. She is survived by her sisters, Eleanor Butler, Barbara Ramey, Brenda Barton, and Nancy Deneen.
Over the years, Mable loved flowers and plants and enjoyed gardening around her home. She looked forward to baking during the holidays, especially applesauce and sugar cakes. She also enjoyed finding a good bargain, visiting yard sales, spending time with her beloved Pekingese dogs, and occasionally enjoying classic American cinema. She had a special way of remembering birthdays and important occasions. She was a Christian by faith and enjoyed praising the Lord.
Mable and Jerry were married on October 16th, 1984. Mable shared over 40 years of marriage with her husband, Jerry. She was the mother of Angela, Susan, and Randolph Cook II and is also survived by six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Those who knew Mable will remember her for her strong convictions, her concern for her family, and the many memories they shared with her.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Colonial Grove Memorial Park, where Mable will be laid to rest. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of her life.
