Randy Pope of Williamsburg, Va passed away after a brief illness on September 7, 2024 at the age of 77.
He was a graduate of the University of Miami. A longtime resident of Florida, he moved to Williamsburg after retirement to be closer to family.
He worked diligently in a hospital blood bank for most of his career. An avid traveler, he particularly enjoyed camping and visiting America’s National Parks.
Randy was born to the late George and “Petie” Pope in Berryville, VA.
He is survived by his sisters Patricia Pope Grow of Providence Forge, Mary Pope Laboy of Williamsburg, and a number of Barnett and Pope cousins.
Randy’s sisters wish to thank the care team at Sentara Williamsburg for their excellence and compassion during his hospital stay.
A private service will be held at a future date.
