Sadly, on Friday, November 4, 2022, Jean Agnor Lyon, 94, passed away.
Jean was born in Lexington, VA to Paul E. and Ashley Agnor. She was the second oldest of fourteen children.
Jean started working at very early age at the Telephone Co. in Lexington, VA. She continued to work there for the next 40 years, after moving to Newport News, VA.
Her husband, Milton “Ed” Lyon, preceded her in death in 2015.
As a couple, Jean & Ed were involved in the Lee Hall Depot, First United Methodist Church and the Telephone Company Pioneers Club. They enjoyed entertaining friends and family in their home for holiday parties.
The family will receive friends from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at Weymouth Funeral Home. A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 at Peninsula Memorial Park. Arrangements by Weymouth Funeral Home.
