Mary Hobson Allen, 89, of Barhamsville, VA passed away peacefully on November 4, 2022. She was the daughter of the late Melvin and Frances “Honey” Hobson.
Mary retired from Camp Peary after 31 years of service. She was an active member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church where she was known for her delicious chocolate chip cookies. Everyone loved her cookies and she always made her coworkers cookies for Christmas.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, C. Beverly Allen; and a grandson, Ronald Combs III.
Mary is survived by her two sons Clinton A. Allen and Barry W. Allen (JoAnn); three grandsons Jacob, Kenny and Daniel Allen; five great-grandchildren Ronald, Katie, Khoen, Hanna and Aedyn, devoted sister-in-law, Dottie Sellars (Donald), and many special friends and family.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, November 8th at Tabernacle United Methodist Church, 20051 Tabernacle Road, Barhamsville, VA 23011. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, November 7th at Vincent Funeral Home, 417 11th Street, West Point, VA 23181.
