
CHARLES CITY — Brian David Nunn, 56, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 19, 2020.
A graduate of Lafayette High School, he also held an Associate Degree in Photography from the Art Institute of Atlanta. An Eagle Scout in his youth, he mentored as a Scout Master for an inner city Boy Scout troop in Atlanta, Georgia.
A supervisory engineer/surveyor for Crowder Constructors Inc., Brian was also a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church and always traveled with his bible that he read and studied daily.
Brian was a man of few words and impeccable penmanship. He was also a seasoned outdoorsman who enjoyed photographing wildlife and nature. He loved his 100-plus-year-old Sears & Roebuck kit home nestled amongst the woods in Charles City County. His favorite memory was a trip to Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, where he was a member of the “misfit crew.”
Survivors include his parents, David and Loretta Nunn; brother, Steven Nunn (Jody); sister, Kimberlee Nunn Magrill (Evan); nephews, Justin Nunn (Katie) Nicholas Nunn (Carey), Max Magrill and Jack Magrill; great-nephew, Oliver Nunn; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Brian was preceded in death by his loving wife and best friend, Lillye Mae Nunn, with whom he has been waiting to reunite.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Aug. 28, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 29, at Hidden Acres Cemetery, 1 Norge Farm Lane, Norge.
