Eliouse Littleheart Jones, 83, of Charles City, Virginia, was called home to meet her Lord and Savior on June 8, 2026.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Alvin, her parents, Miles, Novella and Oraina Cannada, her brothers, Vernon Cannada, Raymond Cannada, Elijah Cannada, Roosevelt Cannada, Kenneth Adkins, her sisters, Dolly Adkins and Mamie Whitehead.

Eliouse is survived by her children, Gina Martin (Chip), Amy Richard (Derrick), and Timothy Jones, bonus children Mike and April Davidson, grandchildren, Matt, Morgan (Ricky), Lucas (Maya), Sydney (Jacoby), DJ, Jada and Tristan, bonus grandchildren, Michael (Beth), Emily (Kevin), great-grandchildren, Kayson, Kaspen, Levi and Keelyn.

Eliouse is also survived by her sister, Zelma Wynn, her brothers, Alton Cannada, Darrell Cannada, Calvin Adkins, her sister-in-laws, Mae Cannada, Bertha Cannada, Sybil Cannada, and Virginia Adkins. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends, as well as her close friend, Margaret Jones (Norman).

Eliouse was baptized at an early age and was a lifelong member of Samaria Baptist Church. She served there for many years as a Sunday School Teacher and the Vacation Bible School Director. She also assisted with hospitality and senior activities at the church. Eliouse was a member of the Chickahominy Indian Tribe. She also taught pottery to many children in the Tribe’s culture classes.

Eliouse led a life of service. She spent countless hours cooking meals, caring for the sick, providing a listening ear to troubled souls, and generally helping those who were less fortunate. She was an avid reader, a lover of games, and her CSI shows. Heaven has gained an angel.

The family would like to thank the aides, Amanda Holmes, Melanie (Button) Garnett, Tameka Coley, Jodi Porch, Shannon Wilson, Michele Sheffied, Susan Martinez, Hailey Martin, and Wilma Loving, for their years of kindness and loving care.

A funeral service will be held 2pm Friday, June 12, 2026, at Samaria Baptist Church, 8130 Lott Cary Rd, Providence Forge, VA 23140. A visitation will be held at Samaria Baptist Church on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 6pm – 8pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can made be made in Eliouse’s memory to Samaria Baptist Church or Chickahominy Indian Tribe Building Fund.
