Catrice Cheryl Ashlock, 56, of Williamsburg, Virginia, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, aunt, cousin, and friend, departed this life on June 1, 2026. She was the beloved daughter of Gloria Dover and the late William Taylor, born on September 22, 1969.

Catrice accepted Christ at an early age. Her life was marked by unwavering faith, deep love for her family, kindness, devotion, and a joyful spirit that embraced all that life had to offer.

Affectionately known as “Tricy,” she was educated in the Williamsburg-James City County Public School system and graduated from Lafayette High School. While in high school, she met the love of her life, Angelo Ashlock Sr., with whom she built a life centered on faith, family, and enduring love.

Following graduation, Catrice worked a variety of jobs, always demonstrating a strong work ethic, dedication, and determination that would become hallmarks of her character. She eventually found her professional home at Camp Peary, where she dedicated more than 20 years of faithful service. Through her hard work and leadership, she earned the position of Lead Housekeeper and remained a respected and valued employee until her passing.

Catrice cherished every opportunity to spend time with family and friends. It never mattered where they gathered—only that they were together. She celebrated life’s greatest milestones and simplest moments with equal enthusiasm. She never missed an opportunity to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, or simply share her presence with those she loved. Her warmth, infectious laughter, and unwavering devotion to her family created bonds that will be treasured forever.

Catrice leaves behind a legacy of love, faith, strength, and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted husband, Angelo Ashlock Sr.; her mother, Gloria Dover (Thomas); her sons, Angelo Ashlock Jr. (fiancée, Katherine Higgins) and Aaron Ashlock, both of Williamsburg, Virginia; her sisters, Tara Taylor and Natasha Lankford, both of Williamsburg; her nieces, A’Shaéla Grant, Da’Vayjah Lankford, and Za’Layah Lankford; her beloved grandchildren, Ace Ashlock, Amora Ashlock, and Aidan Ashlock, all of Williamsburg, Virginia; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will continue to honor her memory and carry her legacy forward.

Though her physical presence will be deeply missed, her love, wisdom, and beautiful spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
