Faith Irene Rohrabaugh, 90, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2018, at the Hoy Center of Westminster Canterbury. Born in Anacortes, Washington, she was the daughter of Amy Sumner Charlot and William Henry Charlot and the widow of Kenneth Carlisle Rohrabaugh.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Marjorie Charlot Premeselaar; and brother, William H. Charlot Jr.
She was a graduate of Anacortes High School; attended Linfield College in McMinnville, Oregon; and graduated from Baptist Missionary School, now part of Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School in Rochester, New York.
Faith was beloved by family and friends and dedicated her life to serving others. She worked professionally in the fields of religious and special education, in which she also served in volunteer positions. She was active in the civil rights movement and served as a hospice volunteer. She was a member of Royster Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder and Stephen minister.
She is survived by her son, Robert C. Rohrabaugh of Virginia Beach; daughter, Kathleen J. Quarforth, and her husband, C. Robert Quarforth, of Manassa; granddaughters, Kimberly J. Quarforth of Virginia Beach and Kirsten M. Quarforth of New Orleans; and brother, Robert B. Charlot, and his wife, Susan, of Yakima, Washington.
The family would like to thank the staff of 2B of the Hoy Center, Westminster Canterbury for their loving care.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 27, at The Holy Trinity Chapel of Westminster Canterbury on the Chesapeake Bay with a reception to follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to the outreach ministry program of Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church or Fellowship Fund at Westminster Canterbury.
