
Todd Lin Williams, 48, of Williamsburg, Va., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018 at VCU/MCV Medical Center in Richmond, Va.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Virginia and George Neely and Adrian and Eula Williams, all from Colonial Heights.
Todd is survived by his mother and stepfather, Cheryl Christine Robinette and Steve Robinette; brother, Al Brian Williams; stepbrother, David Robinette; special friend of over 30 years, Patricia Borders; biological father, Alton Williams; and half-sister, Nicole Fenner.
Todd spent his childhood in Colonial Heights and Chester, Va. He graduated from Menchville High School in Newport News, Va., and took welding for a trade while in school, but he never pursued it after receiving his certificate for welding. Todd was an avid Nascar and football fan. He was well loved by all who knew him and he loved his family and friends. He moved to Williamsburg and went to work for VDOT. He remained there for 24 years until his death.
Todd’s family would like to thank all the VDOT workers throughout the state of Virginia who donated their time while he had been in and out of the hospital.
A celebration of life receiving family and friends will be held from 2 to 5 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 17, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, Feb. 23, at Blanford Cemetery in Petersburg, Va.
