Ethel B. Bartlett, 88, answered the Master’s call Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017. Her long life’s journey began Aug. 31, 1929. Upon moving to Williamsburg in 1952, she joined Mount Gilead Baptist Church. Later in life, she joined hands in fellowship with Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earnest R. Bartlett Sr.; and son, Earnest R. Bartlett Jr.
She leaves to cherish her blessed memories, her daughter, Audra “Penny” Bartlett; sons, John Bartlett and Terry Bartlett; granddaughter, Tasja Bartlett; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Mrs. Bartlett may be viewed and the family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church. A celebration of her life will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 6, at the church with the Rev. Ronald A. Ellis officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at 101 Bailey Drive by noon on Wednesday.
