Thomas Micheal Hoover, 59, passed away Thursday, Nov. 30, 2017. Thomas was a native and lifelong Peninsula resident.
He graduated from Denbigh High School in 1976 and from Christopher Newport in 1982. He loved music and loved to argue about a subject, especially in a formal manner. He was a skilled debater and had a deep command of the issues.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest M. Hoover and Mary Dozier Hoover; and two brothers, Ernest M. Hoover Jr. and John Marshall Hoover, and is survived by his sister, Marie Hoover Wible (Ron) and nephews, Jake (Joyce) Michael, Erik and Jack; and sister-in-law, Frances Hoover.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 7, at Amory Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Grace Episcopal Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
