Jean Faye Colesworthy, 83, of Williamsburg, Va., went home to be with the Lord Friday, June 16, 2017, at Consulate Health Care of Williamsburg. She was born March 2, 1934, in Reading, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Robin; and parents, Robert and Thelma Green. Jean is survived by her husband of 62 years, Ray Colesworthy of Williamsburg.
Jean was a legal secretary for Derr, Hawman and Derr, the District Attorney’s Office and the Federal Bankruptcy Court in Reading, Pa. After moving to Irvine, Calif., in 1974, she worked in the Housing Office at The University of California in Irvine. Jean and her husband moved to Westlake Village, Calif., in 1989, where she was president of the Newcomer and Encore Clubs. She was also a member of the Westlake Yacht Club, where she worked with the youth sailing program.
In 2005, Jean and her husband moved to Williamsburg, where she became a member of the Williamsburg Christian Church. She was also a member of the Classic Cruisers Car Club of Virginia. Jean loved the ocean and beaches. She and her family spent most of their free time and vacations at their condo in Maui, Hawaii.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Consulate Health Care of Williamsburg for their special care, support and compassion for Jean.
