Joanne Bortz Young, 79, passed away on Friday, April 8, 2016. She was born in Pottstown, Pa., to the late Bernard and Edna Bortz.
Joanne was a caring humanitarian and was a member of Bayside Presbyterian Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents, Joanne was preceded in death by her brother, Jack Bortz.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 58 years, Dr. David B. Young; sons, David B. Young Jr., and his wife, Stacey, and James D. Young, and his wife, Joanne; three grandchildren, Isabella, Patrick and Allison; brother, Jay Bortz (Gary); sister, Katherine Hancock (Joseph); sister-in-law, Elaine Baker (Dale); along with extended family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 14, at Bayside Presbyterian Church.
The family would like to thank all of the caring professionals who were involved in Joanne’s care.
