Agnes ‘Grammy’ Walker Boggus, 94, crafty lady who had special talent for refinishing furniture

Agnes ‘Grammy’ Walker Boggus, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, April 8, 2016. She was the daughter of the late John and Maggie Walker and raised in Burlington, N.C.

She was the wife of the late Van Buell Boggus. She was a wonderful mother and Grammy to the entire Boggus family and will be deeply missed. Grammy has lived in the Tidewater area since 1980, and was a graduate of Elon College. She was known for her talent in refinishing furniture and crafts.

Survivors include her six children, Van Jr. and Chris Boggus of Toledo, Ohio, Cheryl and Mike Morelli of Grand Junction, Colo., Carol and Bob Sexton of Raleigh, N.C., Gary and Myung Soon Boggus of Chesapeake, Nancy Boggus of Virginia Beach and Ann and Phil VanAlsburg of Stephens City; and 12 grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, in Princess Anne Memorial Park.
