Sarah Dalton Belcher, 59, passed away peacefully in her home on January 8, 2016.
Born in Roanoke Virginia, she was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army and active in the 11th Armored Cavalry Veterans of Vietnam and Cambodia Association. Sarah was at her happiest when visiting with her children and grandchildren. She also enjoyed singing karaoke with her friends at local spots throughout Virginia Beach.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 10 years, Rick Belcher; sons, Tony, Steve, Joey, Jeremy and Rusty; daughters, Heather, Kali and Stacey; father, Frank Dalton and his wife Patsy; brothers, Sammy, Andy, and Huey; sisters, Sharon and Roberta; and ten grandchildren.
It is hard to say good-bye to the woman who has brought us so much happiness and been at our side for so long. Her ready smile and desire to please everyone with whom she made contact with will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. However, we can take comfort knowing she is looking down, with an expectant eye towards the goodness in all of us. God has gained another angel. Unfortunately, her wings were ready but our hearts were not. We love you, Sarah.
A memorial service will be held at the Eagle’s Nest in Virginia Beach (formerly known as Steppin’ Out) on Thursday, January 21, 2016, from 6 to 8 o’clock. Arrangements are by Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Neck Chapel. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.hollomon-brown.com.
