Robert Lee Robertson, of Williamsburg, died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at the age of 89.
Robert was born in Charleston, West Virginia to William and Ethel Mae Robertson. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jane Robertson and son, Calvin Robertson. The family moved to Williamsburg in 1960.
He is survived by his sons, William “Billy” (Dorothy) and Randy (Debbie); daughter, Jean “Jeanie” (Kenneth West); seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Robert served our country in the U.S. Navy and was a civil service retiree. He was a member of the American Legion, the United States Veterans Association and Grace Baptist Church.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at Bucktrout Funeral Home, 4124 Ironbound Road, Williamsburg. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Williamsburg Memorial Park, 130 King William Drive, Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
