Shirley Piggott Sr., of Williamsburg, died Sept. 2, 2015, at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center.
Shirley retired after many years as a bricklayer. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He leaves to cherish his precious memories his daughter, Celestine D. Piggott; sons, Shirley Piggott Jr. (Charttie) and Michael Piggott; brother, James Piggott; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving relatives and many caring friends.
Mr. Piggott may be viewed from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at Whiting’s Funeral Home. A funeral service, celebrating the life he lived, will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015, at the funeral home with the Rev. Morris Randall officiating. Interment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park. Family and friends will assemble one hour prior to the service at 101 Watson Drive.
