
Lloyd F. Johnson, a native of Charles City and longtime resident of Croaker, died Aug. 15, 2014, at the age of 84.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked for VDOT and retired from there. Mr. Johnson loved fishing, hunting and his dogs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Annie Johnson and his wife of 33 years, Doris Denoy Johnson.
He is survived by his sons, Bart (Lois) Denoy and Dennis (Kathie) Denoy; his daughters, Sally (Bunky) Revere and Annette (Danny) Johnson; his seven grandchildren; and his 13 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank all care givers for their devotion and love they gave to our father. A special thanks to his great-great-niece, Barbara Brown, for her help and care throughout his illness.
A visitation will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 18, 2014, at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd., Williamsburg, VA 23188. A service will be held at noon Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2014, at Nelsen Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Williamsburg, following the service.
