
Celestine E. “Baby” Barlow, of Williamsburg, died Aug. 8, 2014, at Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center. She was 82.
She was the daughter of the late Mary E. Cooke and Columbus Washington and stepfather, Phillip A. Cooke, Jr.
On Dec. 23, 1960, Celestine was united in holy matrimony with the late Joseph M. Barlow, in Lightfoot. She retired from Motel 6 after many years of faithful service.
She is survived by her sister, Thelma Pollard, of West Point; her nephew, Burrell Pollard, Jr., of West Point; her nieces, Marissa Dandridge, of California and Angela Aldridge, of Newport News; the Barlow Family; and many other friends at the Parker View Apartment Complex; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mrs. Barlow may be viewed at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Whiting’s Funeral Home Chapel. Family and friends will then assemble by 11:45 a.m. at the chapel for a funeral service beginning at noon. Interment will follow at Hampton Memorial Gardens.
