
Betty J. Roberts Baker, a native of Rhodes, Mich., a former resident of Seaford and a Peninsula resident since 1977, died Sunday, March 23, 2014, at Riverside Regional Medical Center. She was 77.
She was a medical supply manager at Naval Weapons Station and retired in 1992 from McDonald Army Hospital. She was a former member of the Seaford Women’s Club and an active volunteer with the Knights of Columbus. Mrs. Baker was also a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother
She was preceded in death by her husband of 16 years, Freddie T. Baker; sisters, Carrie and Helen; and brothers, Jake, Charlie and Bill.
She is survived by her sons, LeRoy Roberts (Martha), of Newport News, Kevin Roberts (Tina), of Hampton, Robert Roberts (Machelle), of Yorktown and Garland Baker (Christine), of Portsmouth; daughter, Theresa Creef, of Chesapeake; and grandchildren, Damian, Cynthia, Courtney, Dean, Dillon, Sara, Brendan and Cedar
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at St Joan of Arc Catholic Church followed by a funeral mass at 2 p.m. with Father Mile Joly officiating.
