Architectural Review Board to Meet Jan. 25

WILLIAMSBURG — The City of Williamsburg Architectural Review Board meets on Jan. 25, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. at the Stryker Center.

According to the Agenda, the meeting will start with the Williamsburg Architectural Review Board’s staff recommendations for the two items listed on the consent agenda.

Those two items are:

  • ARB#22-005 Hart/309 Indian Springs Road
    An application to change the previously approved stucco siding for the second story addition on the garage (ARB#21-049). The applicant is now proposing the use of the hardiplank painted white to match the existing siding.

    The property is currently in the AP-2 Zone of the Architectural Preservation District, and page 22 of the Design Review Guidelines pertains to this request.

    The staff has reviewed this request and recommends approval.
  • ARB#22-006: BSV Colonial LLC/301 College Row
    An application to change the door and window layout on a previously approved commercial building (ARB#21-069). The applicant has finalized construction details for the interior space resulting in changes in openings as well as an access ladder on the east elevation. There is no change in the color or material.

    This property is in the Corridor Protection District, and pages 2-3 of the Design Review Guidelines Chapter VI pertain to this request.

    The staff has reviewed this request and recommends approval.
