WILLIAMSBURG — Opera in Williamsburg will return to the Kimball Theatre with Gaetano Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’Amore (The Elixir of Love).”
Postponed from 2020, the live, fully-staged opera will feature four performances, two shows per day with a double cast, a matinee and an evening performance, on Friday, Sept. 10 and on Sunday, Sept. 12.
The performances will take place in the Kimball Theatre Main Auditorium, 428 W Duke of Gloucester Street.
Directed by Benjamin Spierman, with Maestro Jorge Parodi conducting, the opera will be performed in the original Italian with English supertitles.
Masks are required for all attendees throughout the event, as the Kimball Theatre allows full capacity, with seats not socially distanced at this time.
The matinees will begin at 2 p.m. and the evening performance at 8 p.m. both days. There will be an intermission.
