Ideal for small business owners, freelancers, or remote-working entrepreneurs, the Collaboration Space of Hampton Roads is a new co-working facility that offers a professional, distraction-free, office environment.
Established by co-owners, Timorah Beales and Vibha Butail, the Collaboration Space of Hampton Roads, located off Route 17 in Yorktown, boasts a range of amenities from private offices to conference rooms to a large rentable “workshop-friendly” event space.
It has high-speed WiFi, printing services, and unlimited coffee for all members.
“Co-working is for everyone,” said Courtney Riley, director of marketing and business development for Collaboration Space. “It’s a great alternative to using a cafe, there are no distractions, and you don’t have to worry about losing your seat when you get up to use the restroom.”
She said Collaboration Space offers multiple levels of memberships and pricing to fit each clients’ needs, as well as a day-pass and hourly rental options.
“It really targets home-based businesses that want to keep overhead costs low, but who also want to have a professional work setting,” Riley said. “It’s also great for speakers, classes, or businesses that don’t have brick and mortar [locations], but who want to host events.”
In addition to 24/7 access and a secure location, Collaboration Space’s board of advisers will be available monthly to coach members about their individual business endeavors, Riley said.
The space will also host “one social a month, which is catered, free and open to the public and members; and one workshop a month,” Riley said.
The workshop, also free and open to the public, will be led by a guest speaker on a membership-requested business topic.
Collaboration Space will be hosting its grand opening on May 29 from 2-6 p.m.
