VIRGINIA BEACH — Police here are investigating a Sunday morning shooting that left a man dead.
Information on the man’s identity was not immediately released.
Dispatchers fielded several calls around 2:26 a.m. Sunday about gunshots in the 300 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard.
There, police found a man “suffering from a gunshot wound to the torso,” authorities said.
Police said the shooting appears “to have resulted from a dispute between several individuals.”
The man was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
