The annual “Breakfast with the Animals” will return this weekend to the Virginia Zoo in Norfolk.

This year’s breakfast will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. Aug. 11. The zoo is at 3500 Granby St. in Norfolk.

After a breakfast buffet, visitors can explore the zoo and watch more than 20 animals eat their breakfast — a variety of fruits and vegetables, according to a news release.

Zoo volunteers will be posted at exhibits to dish out interesting facts about various animals’ diets, behavior and personalities.

Visitors can also meet interesting animal ambassadors, take a ride on the zoo’s train, enjoy tbounce houses and a meet-and-greet from Tango the Tiger.

Tickets for members are $15 for adults (12 and older) and $10 for children (5-11).
