VIRGINIA BEACH — A woman was killed following a single-vehicle crash here Tuesday morning.
Information on the woman’s identity was not immediately released.
Police said the woman was driving a 2002 Acura CLS east in the 4200 block of Princess Anne Road at about 11:02 a.m. when she veered right off the roadway and crossed over several lanes of traffic.
The vehicle hit a curb and went airborne. It landed on a Dominion Power support wire, eventually falling off and hitting the concrete sidewalk, police said.
The woman was taken to a hospital where she later died.
No other information about the crash was released pending the outcome of the police investigation.
